PSHV Law is a full service firm that is duly organized and existing under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, with principal office address at 4th Floor Saville Building, Paseo de Roxas corner Gil Puyat Avenue, Makati City, Philippines.
In compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (“DPA”) and other applicable data protection laws, rules and regulations, this Privacy Policy informs you how we collect information about you, the type of information we collect, the purpose or use of such information, what we may disclose (if any) to our service providers and vendors, and the measures that we take to protect and secure your personal information.
PERSONAL INFORMATION TO BE COLLECTED
Under the DPA, personal information is any information, whether on its own or combined with other data in our possession, that directly and certainly identifies you as an individual.
We collect the following information from our clients and prospective clients:
- Personal contact information, which includes name, address, email address, phone number, or any other information that would allow us to contact you;
- Demographic information, which includes gender, date of birth, age, civil status, nationality, etc.; and
- Non-personal information, which includes the IP address of your device used to access our website, geolocation, operating system, browser type and version, and other machine identifiers, etc.
METHOD OF COLLECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION
We collect personal information from our clients and prospective clients, directly or indirectly, through any of the following means:
- Forms, agreements and other similar or related documents submitted to us;
- Use and log-in to PSHV Law’s website when you fill out the ‘Contact Us’ form on our site or e-mail us directly;
- During availment of PSHV Law’s services;
- Communications and correspondences with our lawyers, whether in writing, verbally, or thru electronic means; and
- From third parties and other sources which have obtained your prior for disclosure or when PSHV Law is legally allowed to acquire such personal information.
PURPOSE AND USE OF COLLECTED PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will process personal information only when not prohibited by law and when at least one of the following conditions exists:
- You have given consent to the collection of the information;
- The processing of personal information is necessary and is related to the fulfillment of a contract entered into by PSHV Law;
- The processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation of PSHV Law; or
- The processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by PSHV Law, or by third party/ies, to whom the data is lawfully disclosed.
DISCLOSURE OF COLLECTED PERSONAL INFORMATION
As a general rule, we do not share your personal information with any other entity. However, personal information may be shared to our employees, agents and other professionals who work with us who may use the information for the purpose of providing you with legal services.
Personal information may also be shared for the following purposes:
- To enforce applicable terms of use of the website;
- To detect, prevent and protect against fraud and any technical or security vulnerabilities; and
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations, cooperate in any legal investigation meet enforceable governmental requests.
Should we share your personal information with a third party, we will use our best effort to ensure that such personal information are secure, and we shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that the use of the personal information is consistent with the Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws and regulations.

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We have adopted physical and technical measures intended for the protection of personal information against any accidental or unlawful destruction, alteration and disclosure, as well as against any other unlawful processing. We also adopt reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your personal information against natural dangers such as accidental loss or destruction, and human dangers such as unlawful access, fraudulent misuse, unlawful destruction, alteration and contamination.
We likewise ensure that third parties allowed to access and/or process information on our behalf will implement security measures that match our own.
In case of a personal data breach, we shall notify you within Seventy Two (72) hours from knowledge of the breach.
RETENTION PERIOD
We shall retain your personal information until it is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose/s for which it was obtained and for an additional period of ten (10) years thereafter. After which, the data will be anonymized and utilized solely for statistical purposes.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECT
